Unleashing the Power of Affordable Housing

Councillor Giorgio Mammoliti, Chair of the Affordable Housing Committee, The City of Toronto will hold a one-day international forum on affordable housing on Monday, Sept. 29, 2008 at St. Lawrence Hall. We hope you will be able to join us.

Unleashing the Power of Affordable Housing will be the culmination of an intensive public consultation process, leading to the creation of the City's 10-year affordable housing plan. Through this forum we intend to draw on the experience of other cities and countries to help prepare Toronto's plan. Confirmed speakers include:

• Jim Bennett- Head of Policy, The Housing Corporation, London, U.K
• Alan Benson- Head of Housing and Homelessness, Greater London Authority, London, U.K. 
• Dr. Michelle Norris - Lecturer, School of Applied Social Science University College Dublin, Ireland
• Robin Snyderman - Vice-president of Community Development, Metropolitan Planning Council, Chicago, IL
